KOCHI: The body of Anzi Ali Bava, the Kodungalloor native killed in the New Zealand terror attack, reached the state early Monday morning. The body which reached the Nedumbassery Airport at 3.30 am this morning was handed over to her relatives. The body is kept at the Kodungalloor Community Hall for the people to pay homage. She will be buried later today.

Ansi, who had moved to New Zealand with her husband Abdul Nazer, was pursuing her masters in agribusiness management at the Lincoln University. She was killed in the shooting at the Al Noor Mosque, one of the two mosques in Christchurch that came under attack on March 15. Almost 50 people including Indians were killed in the attack. Meantime, her husband Nazer who was on the other side of the mosque escaped miraculously.

Nazer is an employee of a private company in New Zealand. They got married two years back. She is the daughter of late Alibava and Raziya of Karippakkulam. Azis is her brother.
