THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala that is boiling due to summer heat witnessed the mercury crossing 40 degree Celsius on Monday.
This condition will continue for three more days, according to the Met department.

On Monday 40.4 Degree Celsius was recorded at Vellanikkara of Thrissur district. This will continue on Tuesday also. The temperature in Alappuzha, Kottayam, Palakkad and Kozhikode districts, is 3 to 4 degree Celsius above the normal average temperature.

Till March 28, the temperature will rise 2 to 3 Degreee Celsius above the average normal temperature.
