THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: CPM and CPI have decided not to consider the discussions over Rahul Gandhi's candidacy in Wayanad. Both the parties evaluated that this candidacy is a negating the relevance of anti-Sangh Parivar politics on a national level. CPM has decided to intensify its campaign if Rahul reaches Wayanad. Pro-Hindutva stands and financial policies of Congress will be criticized.

Left parties also assume that rumors about Rahul's candidacy were raised in order to hide the internal group conflicts within Congress. 'Rahul's candidacy in Wayanad indicates that the main enemy of Congress is not communalism and BJP. If they plan to fight BJP strongly, they should contest from Karnataka. BJP is not strong in Wayanad. BDJS is contesting there. The delay from Congress is not good for UDF there', assessed CPI.

CPM also suspects secret alliances between BJP and Congress in many seats. Both party executives discussed nominations of candidates.
