THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The government will meet the expenses of the child battling for life in the hospital after a youth tortured him brutally. The government will also take over the protection of the two including his younger brother. The health department along with social justice department and Women and Child Development Department will unitedly take over the protection and treatment of the child.

Health Minister K K Shyalaja informed that she has directed to ensure expert treatment for the child undergoing treatment. Directions have been given to officials concerned to take strict action against the guilty. Violence against children cannot be accepted at all. Meantime, the police have taken into custody the youth staying with the child’s mother. They are staying at Kumaramangalam in Thodupuzha. As the condition of the child is very serious, he has been admitted in the ventilator of a private hospital in Kolencherry.
