THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kunnathur Vishalakshi, the former KPCC secretary and the current KPCC executive member, resigned from the Congress and joined the BJP. Rajeev Rajadhani, the CPI Kisan Sabha Kollam District Assistant Secretary was another leader to join the right-wing party. The new entrants to the party were announced by BJP state President P.S. Sreedharan Pillai at a press meet in Thiruvananthapuram.

Meanwhile, Sreedharan Pillai mocked Congress President Rahul Gandhi’s candidature at Wayanad. “By fielding Rahul Gandhi at Wayanad, it shows that the Congress in a desperate situation. They are sure about failure at Amethi, that’s why they chose Wayanad. Nehru family that once called Muslim League a dead horse is now going to contest with their support. This is suicidal for AICC. NDA will expose the weakness in the Congress party and the CPM’s alliance with them and work on defeating Rahul Gandhi”, Pillai said.
