NEW DELHI: K. Muraleedharan’s candidature at Vadakara was officially announced following the big announcement of Rahul Gandhi at Wayanad. The MLA at Vattiyoorkavu constituency in Thiruvananthapuram, Muraleedharan will be facing stern competition from P. Jayarajan of the CPM. V.K. Sajeevan is the NDA candidate here.

Muraleedharan will submit his nomination tomorrow.

The Congress had earlier left out Wayanad and Vadakara from their list of candidates.
