KOCHI: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan Monday visited the seven-year-old boy undergoing treatment in the hospital after his mother’s lover assaulted him brutally. The chief minister left the hospital after assessing his health condition.

Pinarayi said, “There is no change in his condition and continues to be critical. The boy who suffered serious injuries to his brain, chest and abdomen, is surviving on ventilator support.” Hospital authorities said they started giving him liquid food via tube. Around 90 per cent of his brain is damaged and he cannot breathe on his own.
