THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The election commission sought a report from Kozhikode collector on the bribery allegation against M K Raghavan, the UDF candidate of Kozhikode Lok Sabha constituency. The action is based on media reports. Chief electoral officer Teeka Ram Meena has asked to submit the report at the earliest.

A private television channel had yesterday aired visuals in which Lok Sabha candidates were seen demanding money and liquor to influence voters. 15 MPs of various parties of the country including M K Raghavan were seen demanding money for their election expenses.

Soon after the news channel aired visuals in which the Congress MP was seen allegedly demanding money, Raghavan lodged a complaint to the district collector, electoral officer and city police commissioner seeking a probe on the incident.
