KOZHIKODE: The police will investigate the sting operation controversy against UDF candidate at Kozhikode, M.K. Raghavan. The probe will be on the conspiracy allegation made by Raghavan. The transactions of Raghavan is already under investigation. Meanwhile, DYFI President Muhammad Riyaz has approached the Election Commission requesting probe and action against the illegal transactions and violation of election code of conduct committed by M. K. Raghavan.

Meanwhile, the LDF is trying to strengthen the campaign against Raghavan by bringing the bribe allegations to the fore.

Raghavan had only shown Rs 53 lakhs as election expenditure in 2014 election campaign before the election commission. However, in the sting operation video released by a Hindi TV channel, Raghavan was seen talking about Rs 20 crores spent during the 2014 election campaign.
