THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Thrissur district collector T V Anupama said that she does not want to respond to the criticism of BJP. She came forward in connection with the notice served to Suresh Gopi, the NDA candidate of Thrissur for campaigning in the name of Lord Ayappa. I just did my job and don’t want to react on the criticisms of the BJP, she said.
BJP leader B Gopalakrishna had alleged that the collector was acting as a slave of the Pinarayi Vijayan government. She came forward with a reply for this. Suresh Gopi delivered the sensational speech at an election convention in Thrissur.
The actor in his speech said, “I am seeking votes in the backdrop of Sabarimala. My Ayyan (lord Ayyappa), our Ayyan, if our Ayyan is an emotion for us, this brutal government will be given a befitting reply by the people of Kerala."
The actor also said that he is seeking votes in the backdrop of Sabarimala issue. The collector had issued notice to the actor for breaching the election code of conduct. The notice has asked him to give an explanation within 48 hours.
