THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Adv A JayaShankar has said that in the right wing, the late MLA K M Mani was the person most eligible to become the chief minister after K Karunakaran.
“Mani was a great Parliamentarian who had proved his mettle as a minister. His memorable service in politics is not the one that could be eclipsed by certain controversies that brought disrepute to him during his final years.
As a political observer, I used to criticise him during the sunset days of his political career but in all those occasions I had retained some respect for him,” he recalled.
Jayashankar added that in his life, Mani had not got the recognition he deserved.
