KUTTIYADI: A stage collapsed during a reception accorded to K Muraleedhran, the UDF candidate of Vadakara. The incident happened during an election campaign at Cheriya Kumbalam in Kuttiyadi.

The stage collapsed when activists tried to garland him. Muraleedharan too fell down along with the activists. He soon got up as if nothing happened and addressed the gathering there.

He sarcastically said we will survive any crisis. Nothing happened after the stage collapsed. Even a bomb blast will not affect our activities, he said smilingly. He requested help from the activists to move forward.
