KOZHIKODE: A Malayalai man, suspected to be having some connection with Islamic terror organisation ISIS, has been arrested. National Investigation agency (NIA) arrested Kozhikode Koduvalli native Shaibu Nihar on Friday.

Shaibu got arrested when he was travelling from Qatar to Karipur. He was produced in the Ernakulam NIA court and later was remanded in judicial custody till April 22.

In the investigation, NIA had found out that Shaibu Nihar had attended the ISIS training class in Al Ansar Salafi Centre in Bahrain. Most of the persons who attended the class later went to Syria and joined ISIS.
