KOTTAYAM: The latest election campaign topic at Kottayam is Mani’s demise. Candidates of all three main fronts stopped their election campaign following the demise of K.M. Mani. The election campaign has restarted after two days, on Friday.

As per direction from the party, the UDF candidate did a silent campaign in the constituency. UDF is hopeful that the people’s love towards ‘Mani Sir’ will turn into votes.

The procession carrying the body of K.M. Mani has brought together several leaders and activists within the Congress and Kerala Congress. UDF will try to use the memories of Mani without violating the election code of conduct. Flexes without the pic of K.M. Mani have erupted throughout the constituency.

NDA candidate P.C. Thomas has raised banners of his own in memory of his mentor.

However, the LDF assumes that the voters of Kottayam won’t mix emotions and polls.
