THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The LDF has filed a complaint with the EC regarding an incident where some allegedly tried to unsettle the CM’s election campaign through ‘namajapa’ via loudspeaker. I.B. Satheesh MLA has alleged that the loudspeakers had violated the max allowed distance.

The CM was talking at a campaign for LDF candidate A. Sampath at Attingal when ‘namajapa’ came through the speakers placed by a nearby temple for festival. Pinarayi Vijayan stopped his speech and enquired about the problem. As the CM got uncomfortable, leaders I.B. Satheesh MLA, V. Sivankutty and other activists disconnected the power cord of the speakers. The party activists had allegedly stopped a media person who tried to take the footage of the incident on a mobile phone.

On resuming his speech, the CM started talking about the Sabarimala issue. He lashed out at the PM Narendra Modi and the Congress leaders.
