THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Police have filed a case against one Binil Soma Sundaram for posting a communal remark on his Facebook page against the 15-day-old child who was rushed from a private hospital in Mangalapuram to Ernakulam Amrita hospital the other day.

A strong protest was raised against Kadavoor native Binil’s post.
The disparaging comment was that what was in the ambulance was the seed of a jihadi. This loathsome comment came to the notice of net users at a time when the whole of the State was praying for the child.
A complaint in this regard was also given to the DGP.
As soon as the post became controversial, Binil put up another post, saying that he doubted whether his FB account had been hacked.
It was Adv Sreejith Perumana who gave the complaint to the DGP.
Meanwhile, the doctors at Amrita hospital said the condition of the child admitted to the ICU is still serious.
A decision on operation may be taken only after 24-hour observation. “The condition of the heart is perilous. The fault of the heart valve is a big challenge. Hence the doctors are trying to prepare the child for surgery at the earliest,” said hospital authorities.
The surgery will be performed only after the functioning of liver, kidney and brain is found to be normal and after it is confirmed that there is no infection in the body.
