THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Opposition leader Ramesh Chennithala came forward with a befitting reply to Prime Minister Narendra’ Modi’s speech harshly criticising Congress chief Rahul Gandhi. He ridiculed Modi for his statement that the BJP will go for constitutional support to protect the faith of devotees if it returns to power. He is shedding crocodile tears on it, alleged Chennithala.

The RSS and the BJP did not even file a review plea against the verdict of the Supreme Court permitting women entry in Sabarimala. Even the Karma Samithi did not approach the court. However, congress leader and former devaswom board president Prayar Gopalakrishnan approached the court. Congress leader Manu Abhisehk Singhvi heard the argument on the plea. Besides this, congress MLAs staged satyagraha in the assembly for days. Only the UDF stood with the devotees on the issue, he said at the press meet convened.

Modi’s question why Rahul opted for Wayanad and not Thiruvananthapuram or Pathanamthitta is perfect communalism. Modi’s speech in North India that Rahul reached Wayanad where minorities reside fearing majority community is the same as what he has done now. N K Premachandran, the UDF candidate of Kollam will win in a huge majority, he said.
