KASARAGOD: The family of Kripesh, the murdered Youth Congress activist, can now stay inside a house with concrete walls. The house was built by Ernakulam MLA Hibi Eeden on seeing the situation of Kripesh’s small hut. The new house has been named ‘Kichoos’.

The friends of Kripesh and Sarath had erupted huge cutouts of the deceased in front of the house. Hibi Eeden and his family reached the place by 11.30 a.m. In between his busy schedule, Hibi Eeden wanted to do the housewarming function of ‘Kichoos’ on his birthday. After the traditional house warming poojas, Kripesh’s mother Balamani, with a heavy heart, did the ritualistic ‘milk boiling’ by 12 noon. Sarath Lal’s relatives were also present for the function. Friends and relatives of Kripesh took part in the function.

Construction of this 1037 sq.ft house with three bedrooms was completed within 45 days, which is exactly what Hibi Eeden had promised. Several Congress and UDF leaders reached out to the house warming event.
