THALASSERY: Some dramatic scenes were witnessed at the old bus stand minutes before congress national leader Gulam Nabi Azad, who is under the protection of special protection group, came to deliver a speech in Thalassery. The issue started at the garbage heap seen near the banyan tree on the premises of the Jubilee Shopping Complex.

The bomb squad was not satisfied with the inspection held. Following that, the bomb squad and special security force took a strong stand in the name of some flaws in security. The officers were of the stand that if the national leader has to speak then the waste stacked there should be cleared. The congress leaders of Thalassery soon called for corporation’s vehicle and they themselves had to clear the place. Soon, Azad reached the venue and delivered a speech as part of election campaign.
