THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Electoral Officer Tikaram Meena has said that BJP State president Sreedharan Pillai had apologised to him two times for making comments that violated model code of conduct. “After apologising he is going out and blurting out blunders”.

In an interview given to a private channel, Tikaram said: After making some casual statements, he will call me and say “sir I was wrong…I’m sorry…pardon me”. But, after going out of my room he will say some other thing. How can we believe such persons? Repeating again a mistake after telling me that it will not be repeated is double standards. Soon after this revelation, Sreedharan Pillai came out with the argument that Tikaram was trying to insult him. ”Meena and I are not above the law. I’m not for a confrontation with election commission. The truth is on my side…” he said.
