THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The final day of the public campaign turned into a high decibel affair as all three fronts are trying to showcase their strength. Incidents of conflicts have also been reported in different places within the state.
Senior Congress leader A. K. Antony’s roadshow in Thiruvananthapuram was blocked by left activists. Antony and group had to walk the rest of the way to reach the campaign venue. Antony slammed the incident and called out the incident as hooliganism from the CPM.
Prohibitory orders were declared at Vadakara as activists clashed. A similar incident was also reported at Thodupuzha. The order will be in effect from 6 p.m. on April 23 to 10 p.m. on April 24.
