ERNAKULAM: Suresh Gopi, the NDA candidate of Thrissur, called on actor Mohanlal on Monday. Actors Mohanlal and Mammootty had stood with me during the start of my film career, Suresh Gopi told reporters.

Suresh Gopi said, “There is no politics in this. I just came to get the blessings of Mohanlal and his mother. Mohanlal wished the actor all the best for his future endeavours.

Suresh Gopi said they had slept in one room when acted together in Rajavinte Makan. Both our families are very lose. Lal along with his mother and wife used to have lunch from our home. I came to get his blessings at this time of my life. This is the time of silent campaigning. I am doing this going out of my constituency, he said,

There is no politics in this. Only family relationships exist here. Lal’s mother had cooked my favourite food for me. During the start of my film career, I had stayed with him many times after shoot. I wanted the blessings of Lal’s mother and so I met her and got her blessings. There is no politics in this.

Mohanlal wished Suresh Gopi all the best for his future endeavours. He is my close pal. I pray for him and my prayers are with him always, said Mohanlal.
