KOZHIKODE: The police Monday registered a case against M K Raghavan, senior congress leader and the UDF candidate of Kozhikode, related to a sting operation video released by a Hindi TV channel. The case was taken by the Nadakkavu police following the directive of the election commission.

DGP Lokanath Behera had sought legal advice from the advocate general on the report of taking case against him. The report of the police is that a case should be taken if a scientific examination has to be done on the clippings. Preliminary examination showed that the clippings were not fake. A scientific examination should be done to prove its authenticity. The report has mentioned to register a case. Kannur range IG M R Ajith Kumar submitted the report to DGP Lokanath Behera on the probe of Kozhikode ACP P Wahid.
