THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Serious errors were noticed in the voting machine at Kovalam. When votes were casted for the Congress at Number 159 polling booth at Chowara in Kovalam, the light towards lotus symbol flashed. The error was noticed after 75 persons exercised their franchise. Following protests from the UDF, voting was suspended for some time. Kovalam MLA confirmed the error. The election commission will decide on what should be done on the votes casted. Meantime, district collector K Vasuki said they have not obtained any complaint so far.
