PATHANAMTHITTA: K Surendran, the NDA candidate of Pathanamthitta said votes are not falling only for lotus symbol in Pathanamthitta Lok Sabha seat. People in some constituencies are not able to cast votes for lotus symbol. A complaint will be lodged on it, he said. There were reports that lotus is not flashing in various booths in Pathanamthitta.

There was a complaint that lotus symbol was not seen in the ballot unit in booths at Enadi Mangalam and Konni in Pathanamthita Lok Sabha constituency. Polling was stopped for some time but was solved later. Some returned without casting votes. The glitches in machines led to protests by party activists.

Meantime, district collector Dr K Vasuki termed as baseless on the news that serious lapses were noticed in the voting machines in Kovalam. The vote going to another candidate when voted for a candidate is technically impossible, she said. This has been verified and confirmed. Polling is going on without any disruptions, she said.
