polling

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Voters turned out in large numbers to cast their votes for the 20 seats from the state in the third phase of the Lok Sabha polls held yesterday.

After weeks’ long campaigning by the fronts, a robust polling was recorded in the state. According to latest information, the state recorded a polling of 77.68 percentage. This is more when compared to last time. Muralee Thummarukudy, the chief of Disaster Risk Reduction in the UN Environment Programme, has come forward with a Facebook post on it.

Who will win when polling percentage increases? Experts predict on the issue after each polling. We have heard theories that it will benefit the LDF and the UDF.

The post says nothing can be predicted on the poll percentage. Those who get more votes will win, it would be the same if polling is high or low.

Our polling percentage would have been higher if the twenty lakh people not in state had cast their votes, he said in the post.
