THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The allegation of the CPM on the cross voting of BJP is like taking a bail in advance before the results, said NDA candidate K Surendran. The Left Front is going to wane. The CPM is voicing vote trading out of fear of defeat and after counting of votes, CPM state secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will have to say where the votes of the CPM have gone, he said.

The chief minister will be solely responsible for the crash of the CPM, blamed Surendran. The CPM need not worry on our votes. The allegation of the CPM on vote trading is a proof of their failure before the announcement of the results. The CPM and the Left front are taking bail in advance, he said.

There was cross voting in Kasargod, Kannur, Vatakara, Alathur, Mavelikkara, Kollam, Kozhikode and Attingal. Cross voting was seen more in Kannur and Kasargod. The LDF is also expecting possibilities of cross-voting in Attingal constituency where BJP state general secretary Shoba Surendran contested. The LDF leaders alleged that the BJP hatched a conspiracy with UDF leaders for the defeat of A Sampath seeking a third term.
