THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: BJP state chief P S Sreedharan Pillai has come forward seeking a comprehensive probe on bogus voting. The clarification of M V Jayarajan that open votes were cast in Kannur is a lie and the speech in Attingal was an unnecessary controversy, said Pillai.

The CPM should be ready to change their stand. If not, the electoral system will not be smooth. The BJP is a party which believes in democracy. The CPM is continuing as a national party at the mercy of the BJP and Vajpayee. The enmity towards BJP stained the imaged of the CPM. The CPM will face a big failure, he said.

Pillai had come forward dismissing chief electoral officer Teeka Ram Meena’s statement that Pillai expressed regret for his controversial statement and after that he goes out and criticises. I had not expressed regret to anybody. Meena is lying, Pillai said.

Pillai said the Attingal speech was an unnecessary controversy. I had not made any anti-Muslim remarks and will give a copy of the speech to all, he said.
