THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As per Congress’ primary assumption, the party will definitely win at 16 seats while four stands tough. Pathanamthitta, where the party won with a majority of over 56,000 votes in the last term, is interestingly placed in the tough category. However, the party still hopes to win Pathanamthitta, despite the triangular fight due to Sabarimala issue. This report will be submitted to the High Command by the KPCC President Mullappally Ramachandran.

Apart from the few problems in the start, Congress assumes to have progressed in the last phase of the campaign at Palakkad. Adoor Prakash is believed to have presented a strong fight at Attingal. The party leadership hopes that the votes from the forward communities within the Hindu religion are not entirely in favor of the BJP. At Alathur, the party believes that there is a negative emotion against the left MP.

On the other hand, the Congress hopes to get a surprise win at Kasaragod, one of the strongest forts of the LDF. Due to Suresh Gopi’s candidature at Thrissur, the party is anxious about the Hindu votes. But they still consider the minority votes to favor T.N. Pratapan. The Congress also hopes to have a majority of above 2.5 lakhs for Rahul Gandhi.
