THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Former T P Senkumar has revealed his opinion on how to prevent bogus voting. Senkumar explained this during his interview with Kaumudy TV’s straight line team.

Senkumar has come out with more revelations against the backdrop of his controversial service story Ente Police Jeevihtham beginning to be talked about.

There are complaints of bogus voting in different places including Kannur. If this situation has to change, Voter ID card and Aadhar Card will have to be linked very soon.

We have seen in Attingal constituency that 57000 people caste double vote. After voting in a booth, a person erase the mark from his or her finger, go to another booth and vote. This because they possess another ID card.

What actually happens is, in certain places, presiding officers will be much politicised. In such places, booth agents may not have the guts to sit in the booth, especially during noon. In all such places, what is actually happening is bogus voting will be done first in the name of dead person, NRIs and those who skip voting.

An official now under SP rank has told me that he has seen a woman voting 12 times when he was a trainee. When the presiding officer was asked about this, he retorted “we also have to live sir…”
