KASARAGOD: CPM has been released footage of bogus voting at Kasaragod constituency. The video shows two IUML activists, Muhammed Fayiz and Ashiq, casting multiple votes at two polling booths. The allegation is such that the UDF activists at Uduma and Madayi cast bogus votes.

It is clear from the footage that IUML activists are casting multiple votes. At Puthiyangadi Jama-at Higher Secondary school, a person can be seen voting up to five times. When questioned by a LDF agent, Fayiz and co. is seen threatening him.

After casting one vote, Ashiq didn’t leave the booth and waits in line for another round. IUML activists Sainu hands him a slip. After registering his third vote, Ashiq leaves. From the footage, it can be seen that the LDF agent and polling officers are being threatened by some.

LDF agents complained to the presiding officers when an IUML activist attempted to cast Ayisha’s vote at Pallippuzha. There are several other instances of bogus votes where votes of NRIs were cast by others.
