THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police registered a criminal case against three women for bogus voting at Pilathara in the Kasargod Lok Sabha constituency. They have been charged with criminal impersonation.
A case has been registered against Padmini, K P Sumayya and grama panchayat member M V Selina by the Pariyaram police. Chief electoral officer Teeka Ram Meena had earlier directed to take case against them.
The case was registered after dismissing the argument of the CPM.
They have been charged for intervening in elections unnecessarily and for impersonation. The CPM's argument was that they cast open votes.
