KOCHI: Action has been taken against police officials for their lapse in taking action related to the attack in Kallada bus. Four including the sub inspector has been transferred from Kochi to Idukki. Those suspended are Marad sub inspector Baiju Mathew, CPOs Sunil M S, Sunil Kumar and police driver Binesh. Action was taken on the complaint of Ajay Ghosh pointing that the police did not cooperate in the beginning. The complaint was that they did not register a case or find the accused. When this lapse was revealed, action was taken against the officials.

However, the explanation of the police was that a case was not registered as the youths who sustained injuries in the attack left Kochi without informing them. A probe started on the complaint that three passengers of the bus were attacked by the employees of Suresh Kallada bus.
