PATHANAMTHITTA: NDA candidate K Surendran has said that he had received votes beyond politics in Pathananmthitta and hence he will win with a majority of 75000 votes.
“The LDF candidate will go down to the third place. Here it was not Veena George but Pinarayi Vijayan who contested the election. I will continue the fight for the protection of beliefs,” he said.
Surendran said with confidence that there was no question of him getting defeated in Pathanamthitta. The government mechanism was misused during the election.
Surendran also alleged that the postal vote and Service Vote were seized there was wide-spread rigging of votes. “In the constituency, there were 3000 postal votes and 4000 service votes
Usually postal votes are sent to the houses of government employees but instead of that, this time, the postal votes were sent to offices,” Surendran alleged.
“Not only that, NGO unions are threatening to transfer those employees who were not ready to handover the votes. They seized 450 votes of employees of the Health department using threat. Though a complaint was made against this, it was not considered and hence, the election commission should interfere immediately,” he added.
