THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The state govt has released an order that makes transfer certificate unnecessary for students who wish to transfer from unrecognized schools to public schools. Students who want to join classes from standard two to eight should be entered on the basis of Right to Education. For entry to 9th and 10th standard, the entrance must be on basis of an exam conducted under the supervision of the headmaster. The candidate must also fulfill age criteria.
The number of people in public schools is set to inflate as parents have decided to transfer their children from unaided schools. In the last three days alone, more than 25,000 students joined standard one at public schools.
