THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kochi: The CM has initiated a probe on the illegal filling of wetland in Choornikkara using fake documents. Ernakulam range will be tasked with the investigation. The action was taken on the basis of E. Chandrasekharan’s letter to the CM.

The primary investigation will focus on the landowner Thrissur native Hamsa. Fake documents were created for 25 cents of land under the ownership of Hamsa’s family members. Land revenue commissioner U.V. Jose filed a complaint with the museum police, on which the police have started an investigation.

While talking to the media, Minister E. Chandrasekharan said that the Revenue Secretary has been directed to investigate the incident. “As per the police’s primary assumption, there is a large team at work behind this. A thorough investigation will be conducted”, E. Chandrasekharan said.
