NEW DELHI: Union Minister of State Alphons Kannanthanam has written to Union Minister Nithin Gadkari, requesting him not to neglect Kerala in connection with National Highway development.
In the letter, Kannanthanam has requested that the NH expansion from Kasargod to Parassala be included in the priority list. This is being sent on the basis of media report.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that a deliberate attempt was being made to clip the wings of Kerala’s development and the purposeful attempt to hamper the NH expansion was part of this. The Centre has thrown spanner into the expansion work, which was continuing on a war-footing. The National Highway authority has given instruction to stop the land acquisition without any reason.
