KOCHI: RAW/Military Intelligence chiefs will question Riyaz Aboobacker (29), whose custody was secured by the NIA in the case related to the recruitment of Malayalis in terror organisation ISIS.
Riyaz had already confessed to the NIA that he had wished to turn a suicide bomber for ISIS in Kerala.
It is under these circumstances that heads of Investigation agencies are getting ready to question him.
A joined team of top officials of Military Intelligence, RAW, NIA and Intelligence bureau have been camping in Kochi since the other day to find out the Kerala link in Sri Lankan explosion.
NIA IG Alok Mithal is coordinating the investigation.
Riyaz will be in the custody of NIA for the next four days and currently he is being questioned by NIA officials.
The NIA’s attempt is to collect the details of those who fled the country to join ISIS and to find out whether any pro-ISIS module is functioning in Kerala.
The officials think that they will be able elicit all sorts of information from him. The information obtained from Riyaz will be handed over to Investigation Agencies.
