THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The survey predicting the win of Kummanam Rajashekharan, the BJP candidate of Thiruvananthapuram constituency, benefitted the congress, said Congress leader Shashi Tharoor. Those who voted for the Congress in the Lok Sabha polls was the result of the survey. The congress hopes to get a big win than last time, Tharoor said in an interview with Karan Thapar.

Tharoor said the allegation levelled against those who were not active in the Lok Sabha electioneering in the capital city cannot be given a clean chit. They have their own state of affairs. I had not lodged any complaint to the AICC against congress leaders for not campaigning. I have not seen such a letter. I was able to make the activists active as I got six weeks for campaigning and was very active in the last three weeks. Pre-poll surveys do not have any basis. The survey is predicted after asking 250 people in the constituency where 10 lakh people voted, he said.
