MALAPPURAM: Police on Monday arrested a person who put up posts on his Facebook page in support of international terror organisations ISIS and Jaish e-Mohammad. The arrested person is Manjerry Anakkayam native Askar. He was arrested by Manjerry police.

On his FB page, Askar had written that the charges made by India against Jaish e-Mohammad chief Mazood Azar were fake. Filing cases against people in Kerala in the name of Islamic State after branding them as terrorists is due to fascist mentality.

The Manjerry court has remanded him. Police told the court that they were yet to ascertain his terror links, if any, and for that reason they needed his custody for a detailed interrogation.
