KOZHIKODE: The police has admitted a three-year-old boy in the hospital after he was seen with injuries all over his body. His mother and lover seen with the boy has been taken into custody. The Nadakkavu police took into custody Sulaika who eloped with her relative and lover Althaf from Coimbatore. The child has been admitted at the Kozhikode beach hospital. Unconfirmed reports say the injuries were burn marks inflicted by his mother. Childline activists have reached the spot.

The two told police that he sustained injuries after falling from a bike.

Sulaika was staying with her husband Subair Ali in Coimbatore for quite some time. She was reported missing from April 27. A case has been registered on it at the Palakkad South Police station. In between a search, the two were found at a house in P M Kutty Road by her husband and relatives. Following that, Subair informed the police.

The prescriptions of the child treated when he met with an accident has been produced in the station. Subair and others reached Kozhikode after information that they are staying there.
