THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: State Chief Electoral officer Tikaram Meena has written to the DGP, seeking a comprehensive probe into the alleged anomaly in postal voting.
Meena has written to DGP Loknath Behera, stating that he is not satisfied with the investigation report.
“A comprehensive probe is required since it is necessary to retain the belief that the election in the country is free and fair. The investigation based on the whatsapp message of a police official is not acceptable. Investigation should be done on all postal ballets distributed,” he wrote.
Time had been given till May 15 to make a detailed investigation and submit the report.
Meanwhile, another report was given by Crime Brach ADGP with the help of DGP to Meena, seeking permission for a detailed investigation.

In the report it is said that more time is required to conduct the probe into a large number of postal votes.
