KOTTAYAM: Crisis in Kerala Congress (M) takes a tough turn as P.J. Joseph attempted to stop the move to make Jose K. Mani as the chairman of the party.

As Joseph, the temporary chairman, is not calling for the state committee, Jose group is now collecting the signatures of members. Joseph’s stand is to not call for a state committee and find chairman through consensus. Joseph is prepping for an open fight by publicly displaying his intention to C.F. Thomas the party leaders and Jose K. Mani the working chairman.

Roshi Augustin, the right-hand of Jose has opined that a chairman should be selected in a democratic style.

The split inside the party became more evident as the official group held a Mani memorial after a memorial was held under the supervision of Joseph.

If one-third of members signs in favor of a state committee meeting, P.J. Joseph will be forced to do it.
