THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Speaker’s office has informed that the seat of parliamentary party leader cannot be left vacant and will be given to P.J. Joseph as the vice leader of the party. The office also informed that the party leaders can be decided by respective parties.
Roshy Augustine had earlier submitted a letter requesting more time to select a parliamentary party leader. Mons Joseph also had submitted a letter requesting the appointment of P.J. Joseph as the parliamentary party leader by mentioning his position as the vice leader of the party. Roshy’s letter mentions that as per the rule of the party, the vice-leader won’t get the position. This is stated exactly opposite in Mons’ letter, that is, the vice-leader should get the position of parliamentary party leader.
