UPPUTHURA: A child was first beaten brutally by her mother’s partner at Upputhura in Idukki. Then later the child’s mother beat him cruelly. The woman accused in the case has been remanded. The woman beat the child cruelly saying that he was the reason for her to go to jail. The complaint was that the woman on bail beat the child brutally. The child who sustained injuries is undergoing treatment at Upputhura Hospital.

The child was first beaten for saying that he would inform his bedridden father’s parents about his mother’s relationship with Aneesh. Unable to bear the torture of Aneesh, the child informed his relatives. Both Aneesh and his mother was arrested following the complaint of his grandmother.
