KOTTAYAM: A bike-borne magician misbehaved with a minor and when the children present there created a commotion, he fled in the bike. The police has intensified a search to nab the accused.

The incident happened last evening near Thiruvathukkal-NSS Karayogam. Seven children of the area were playing in a nearby land and at this time a bike-borne youth reached there. He was found talking in a mobile for some time. Later he moved towards the children and told them that he will teach them magic. In the meantime, he caught hold the hands of a second class student. When the child and the others created a commotion, he managed to flee the place. The residents nearby informed the police. A police team led by West SHO V S Pradeep Kumar reached and registered the statements of the children. The police examined the CCTV cameras installed nearby but could not trace him.

A case could not be taken based on the statement of the children, further steps can be taken only after taking the statements of the labourers nearby, said the inspector.
