sasikumar-balabhaskar

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Veteran violinist and the late violinist Balabhaskar’s uncle B Sasikumar has demanded further investigation into his nephew’s death, saying that the probe should be centred on gold smuggling case accused Prakash Thampi, Vishnu and the lady proprietor of one Palakkad Ayurveda hospital.

Sasikumar alleged that the three persons together tried to exploit Balabhaskar financially. He spoke out in an interview given to a media group.

Sasikumar’s words:
“I had my own doubts about Prakash Thampi on the day when Balabhaskar and his wife were admitted in hospital. The Ayurveda hospital lady was also present in the hospital. All three of them behaved in a strange manner; they kept away from family members and held secret discussionേ in some other room of the hospital.

Their intention was to bring Balu’s financial matters under their control. In between, Prakash Thampi tried to get finger imprints of Lekshmi on some documents but the doctors intervened and prevented this.

The three persons, who were close to Balu, were not seen grieving his loss and appeared to be cool.

Driver Arjun also first said that it was he who was driving the car at the time of the accident but later changed this statement.
Balu had plans to dismiss Prakah Thampi and Vishnu from the jobs he had entrusted them with. It was these persons who had produced witnesses in Balu’s accident case.

Following Balu’s death, Thampi tightened his hold over Balu’s financial matters; he even restricted the bank from showing family members bank details.
During their darshan at Vadakkumnatha temple, the presence of Palakkad woman was evident. We have come to know that it was she who had coerced Balu for the temple darshan and it was she who asked Balu to return.

In between their drive back home, the woman had called Balabhaskar. Moreover, there was no clear answer about the nercha (promised offering) done at the temple.

It was this woman’s son who called up family members to inform them about the accident. This also gives room for doubts. I along with Balu have visited the woman’s house two times. Even at that time, I was suspicious about her and even warned him.

After Balu’s death, the woman and Thampi had contacted Balu’s wife Lekshmi. I also have doubts about the gold found inside the car. The three might have cheated Balu out of money.”
