THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: In six districts of Kerala, there are probability for very heavy rains on June 9 and 10, according to the warning issued by the India Meteorological Department. Following this, Orange alert has been declared in these districts.

Orange alert has been issued in Kollam and Alappuzha on June 9 and in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Alappuzha and Ernakulam on June 10.

In the forecast, it is said that there will be heavy to very heavy rains in isolated areas in these districts.

In these districts, there are chances for heavy isolated rains.
In the wake of the forewarnings, State Disaster Management Authority has asked government departments and officials concerned to be prepared for any eventuality and open control rooms at Taluk-level.
The Disaster Management authority has said there may be change in alerts Orange alert and on the basis of the changes, new guidelines will be given.
