THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister signed an order that will implement new reforms at the top division of the police department. New commisionerates has been formed at Thiruvananthapuram and Kochi. ADGP Sheikh Darbesh Sahib will be tasked with maintaining law and order.

Manoj Abraham will be the ADGP at the Police Headquarters. Risiraj Singh will be jail DGP. S. Anandakrishnan to become the new excise commissioner. R. Sreelekha will take over as the traffic ADGP.

IGs: M.R. Ajithkumar (south sector), Ashok Yadav (north sector)

DIGs: Sanjay Kumar Gurudeen (Thiruvananthapuram), Kaliraj Maheshkumar (Kochi), S. Surendran (Thrissur) and K. Sethuraman (Kannur).

Dinendra Kashyap will be the Commissioner at Thiruvananthapuram while Vijay Sakhare will be the Kochi Commissioner. Another reform is the change in structure to assign DIGs in ranges and IGs in zones. As per the new reforms, commissioners will be awarded ‘Magisterial’ from now on.
