KALPETTA: Congress chief Rahul Gandhi has reached Wayanad to thank voters for his thumping majority. A team led by KPCC chief Mullappally Ramachandran greeted him at the Karipur Airport. Senior leaders including K C Venugopal accompanied him. Many activists were also there to have a glimpse of the leader.
Rahul will be going to Nilambur from Karipur. He will meet his voters at Kalikavu at 3 pm, at 4.30 pm he will be in Nilambur, Edavanna at 5.30 pm, Areekod at 6.30 pm. Following that, he will be leaving for Kasargod by road. Arrangements were made for his stay at Kalpetta PWD Guest House.
On Sunday, he will visit M P Facilitation Centre at Wayanad collectorate at 10 am. He will be in Kalpetta Town at 11 am, 11.30 am Kambalakad, Panamaram at 12.30 pm, Mananthavady at 2 pm, Pulpally at 3 pm and Sulthan Bathery at 4 pm. He will spend the night at Kalpetta Guest House. On Sunday at 11 am he will be in Eengapuzha, Mukkam at 11.30 am and will leave to Delhi from Karipur.
Meantime, leaders are just waiting to hear from Rahul on whether he is still in his stand of not continuing in the post. He expressed his desire to leave the post following poll debacle. Leaders from Kerala may hold talks with him.
